of the 13th anniversary...
Today,
marks the 13th anniversary of the death of Kurt Cobain.
Today,
we remember Kurt.
and how one man, touched an entire generation.
You, your words, your music, Nirvana,
made me first pick up the guitar,
to put a band together,
and play loud music, and write.
My passion for music, for writing, is all your credit Kurt.
In this past year,
when I thought that teenage angst has paid off well,
i got together with an old buddy, and a new one,
and put together another band -
Another Sunday Afternoon
and we're playing again, writing again
and it was just like how it was back when we were kids
and jamming, and playing Nirvana covers.
For this, I am grateful.
I will never forget when I first heard in '94
and how i wept,
and how the world wept with me.
But today, 13 years on,
your legacy lives on,
YOU live on, in your music, and in our hearts.
Rest in peace, Kurt.
