and then it was over... my internship at ridgewood condominium.. when i started this, i knew i was gonna hate it, boy was i wrong, these 9 weeks taught me everything i could never learn in lectures and tutorials, and i had a great boss, who taught me what it was really like out there.. thank you Mr Chan... the pic above is my desk where i spent 8 hrs a day, 5 days a wk... i might actually just miss this....

on a brighter note, i managed to solicit a GLOWING letter of reference from my boss, u can read it here. I also rewarded myself with a visit to the salon to destress and to top it all off, there's the amazing race tonight.. yes.. life is good... 8) have a good weekend y'all

of the race update (week4)...



ok the show just ended 10 min ago, and i need to write about it NOW. u see. my fav team now is team BFG (the 2 old guys who are air traffic controllers). So nearing the end of the pit-stop, i was tearing my hair out hoping they wun get eliminated (they were the 2nd last team last week). Turns out, they were 2nd last this week too... but at the expense of josh (the punk) and his dad. See, i've never had a thing for that team (josh and dad), see pic above, so it was alrite by me if they got eliminated so team BFG could stay.

BUT those damn producers, right at the beginning of the show, they showed josh being an obnoxious brat, they started out first but by the time they got to Paris, they were in the middle cos josh made a dumbass suggestion to take the train instead of a taxi, he kept going "trust me dad, we're gonna kick the other teams' ass" and when he realized that it was a wrong choice, he confessed to his dad " alrite, i know i'm wrong, i appologize, i hope we catch up...." AND THEN at the last 2 min of the show, had to show 1st Josh screaming at his dad, and then his dad gettin mad, and when they did the last detour, i think both of them realized they were gonna be last so they took a while off, to stand at the top of the cliff and look at a magnificient sunset. then the CLASSIC picture of his dad (dave) pointed at the glorious setting sun and josh shielding his eyes and tryin to see where his dad is pointing, all this while, with his dad's voiceover in the background saying " i let josh take the lead because i know he joined this race to show me something, to show me my son has grown up, that my son is a man now... " (i can't remember the exact words so i'm just drawing from memory)

AWWWWWWWWWwwww DAMN!!! they just had to add that lil bit of emotional blackmail thingie at the end. This whole father-and-son thing never fails to touch people. The part where the dad realises that his son is a man, and he's mighty proud of him. and the son saying that his dad is the greatest guy he knows, that his dad is the kind of dad he wants to be to his own children...

so team BFG stays.. at the expense of Emo-Father-and-Son.. maybe that's how it works, that we can't win 'em all, and for everything we hope happens, and does happen, that it's always at the expense of sumthin else... see? The Amazing Race teaches us life lessons too... 8) have a good weekend y'all

ok, the obnoxious people got kicked off, good riddance to bad rubbish, i was so glad for the 2 old guys that they didnt get kicked, i like them really, i think it's cool that they know they can't run as fast but they still plod on, not givin up to the younger people. you rock Steve and Dave!!!!

i'm already startin my countdown, another 10 days and i will never be going into the office again, that's also the time i go back to being a student, i never thought i'd miss being a student this much... let's talk about that, is the grass really greener on the other side? that along with fnancial independence comes the inevitable responsibilities of being a corporate whore? i remember a time when i was younger.. and free(er?).. and i could do everything i'd wanna, with very little regard to whatsoever consequences it may bring, fully epitomizing "living for the day". I still try really, to live for the day, really i do, but along with age comes the realization that the equation ain that simple anymore. we all learn that sacrifices have to be made, compromises and tradeoffs of sumthin u'd really wanna do, for sumthin that u wldnt mind doing, but wouldnt like that much, just so other responsibilities are fulfilled. That there has to be some form of planning so u wun end up not bein able to pay ur bills at the end of the month.

by the very virtue that i'm even contemplating and discussing this is evidence that i am no longer the 18yr old punk rocker i was once, that i am getting (god forbid) old.. but we all do don't we? grow old? is this the cynicism of old age or the virtue of wisdom that they say only comes with age? i dunno, do you?

what a crazy road block, spot masks... poor amanda and chris got kicked outta the race cos chris spotted 3 wrong persons during the road block.. the tie between them and the 2 black old women was madness, i was so rooting for chris and amanda, i just can't stand those loud obnoxcious women.. oh well.. and the race is on again, they're gnona do a mega bungee jump, for more information and updates, visit the official site here.

a crazy week it's been, what with the mock camp and the workload in the office, i counted, i oni gotta step into tha office for another 15 days and i'll be outta there for good, dun get me wrong, i think it's all good, the kinda exposure to a real environment, where u see stuff that u hear in lecture and u study for exams translated into real life situations and people and problems.. but i miss school, yes, i miss school, warped as it might sound, i wanna be a student again, i never stop to thank god how glad i am that i have another year to go in skoo and i wun be doing this job for the rest of my life.. yes i will have to be in this kinda environment again when i grad, but that's a whole yr later.. i live for the day.

it's saturday, my bro's bday, bought him a nice shirt and he left me a sms to say thanks and he likes it.. ok everybody saw AWWWWWWWWWWwwwwwww... 8) hope everyone's weekend kicks ass. out~
